The producers say that this chainsaw has many new features, such as an adjustable oil pump, a quick release air filter which allows clean use, and various smaller improvements that should make it last longer and provide better results.

Pros
Easy to use and silent
The first thing you will notice about the Husqvarna 346xp is the fact that it offers high maneuverability, due to its light construction and ingenious design. This means that you can easily use the chainsaw even when climbing a tree, to cut it down from top or remove unwanted branches. Don’t play around with it tough, as it has almost the same power as a regular, heavier chainsaw.
Another thing that will strike you about this chainsaw is its low vibration during use, which means that it doesn’t make too much noise and you won’t wake up the whole neighborhood when using it. This can definitely make a difference when you’re looking for a chainsaw that you want to use around the house.
Adjustable and quality construction
You can expect much more quality from the 346xp than you would from its predecessors: it is much more durable and powerful and you can probably use it on logs larger than its recommended, up to 36” – although you have to be careful not to get it stuck when doing so. It’s generally a much more professional tool in this series and lives up to deliver this promise.
Another great thing about it is the adjustable oiler, which allows you to use it without too much trouble in both winter and summer time – you might not even need to change the oil for that. You shouldn’t have any trouble cutting down solid wood such as oak trees.
Cons
Some components are hard to change, small warranty period.
Although the chain on this chainsaw is improved compared to its predecessors, you may still experience some problems with it, and may find it hard to change it. This doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to change it, but that it will take you more time to do it.
The oiler needs to be adjusted for each particular situation you use it, this means that if you don’t adjust it well, it won’t throw in as much oil as needed, and this will lead to the chain dulling and possible clogging issues. You should get the hang of it in time, but will have difficulties at first.
You won’t be very fond of the six months warranty period. You would expect at least one year, if not two, but you’ll just have to trust the manufacturer if you really want to buy this chainsaw.
